Explore the roads of the Portes du Soleil and take in the exceptional views during this rewarding round-trip towards Lake Geneva and beyond.
From Hotel du Lac you’ll descend into Montriond, crossing the valley floor to begin the first climb of the day in Essert Romand. The 7km route that follows includes several challenging hairpin turns with stunning views to distract you en-route. Your arrival at the Col is punctuated by a refreshment break in a characterful local bar.
Descend from Hotel du Lac on the shores of Lac de Montriond to the main route out of our valley. Before long you’ll leave the main road for a sharp ascent through the beautiful village of Le Biot en-route to the Col du Corbier. From here you’ll round the Pointe de Tréchauffé and the Pointe de Saugeon, passing through la Forclaz and La Vernaz enroute.

The views on this route are particularly rewarding and it’s a short, sharp ride back up to Lac de Montriond at the end of the day.
